We are an established privately owned insurance brokerage specialising in commercial insurance for SME and mid-market clients. Our clients are predominantly based in the Midlands, but we are looking to expand locally and into other regions.
Our success is based on providing accessible advice and support to our clients as and when needed so that they can understand and address the risks, protect their assets, and recover from losses.
What’s the Role?
We are looking for an experienced Account Executive / New Business Sales Executive to join our team. The successful individual has the potential to inherit a book of existing business to look after and grow, in addition to developing their own connections and new prospects.
The role involves achieving retention rates and new sales income targets, through:
Understanding existing client’s business needs, identifying and developing cross selling, up-selling, recommendations and similar opportunities.
Contributing to the growth of the business through effective sales pipeline management and prospecting activity, face to face visits and networking.
Full back-office support provided by the team, but the role can be varied to enable the individual to act, in part, as an account handler as well.
Being independent and privately owned enables us, to mould the role, location, and hours around the individual.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
Minimum 2 years plus broking experience preferable
Experience in a similar role in the commercial insurance sector.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with business owners and retain and win their business.
Experience in a target focused environment with proven track record of meeting targets and influencing decision makers.
Proven problem solver and able to multitask.
Experience in developing sales pipeline, lead generation.
Excellent written and verbal and negotiation skills and computer literate (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
Highly driven and organised with the ability to work independently with commercial awareness.
Cert CII qualification or work towards, but not essential.
Full driving license.
Full support to obtain the Certificate in Insurance qualification.
